Patient Cannot Start or Complete Test

Troubleshooting steps when a patient is unable to begin or finish their BrainCheck assessment.

1. Confirm the Patient’s Information

  • Ensure the patient’s profile in BrainCheck is set up accurately — especially date of birth.

  • If any details are incorrect, edit the patient profile before attempting the test again.

2. Check the Testing Link

  • For remote testing, patients should go to my.braincheck.com.

  • They will enter the PIN generated by the system and their date of birth to start the test.

3. Restart from the Beginning if Stopped or Paused

  • If a test is paused or stopped, it will restart from the beginning when resumed.

  • This is by design — pausing can affect test accuracy, especially in Delayed Recognition, and may result in invalid scoring.

4. For In-Clinic Testing

  • Confirm the order is opened on the testing device before handing it to the patient.

5. For Remote Testing

  • If proctoring is required, ensure you can maintain the connection with the patient for the entire session.

  • If the connection drops, the patient must restart from the beginning.
