Settings of Pulse activity presets
The direct settings of a Pulse preset are limited, as it can only be created based on an existing Pulse activity, using the configured settings of that activity. For instructions on how to create a Pulse activity, refer to the article Settings for Pulse activity, and for instructions on how to export a Pulse activity, refer to the article Exporting a Pulse activity. The genuine settings of a Pulse preset are explained below. The preset icon, title, description, and configurable parameters are displayed in the presets overview when creating a new Pulse activity.
Title
The title serves an administrative purpose, helping to distinguish different presets. Ensuring the title is descriptive of the preset’s function helps identify the correct preset when creating a Pulse activity. Setting a title is mandatory for creating a preset.
Description
The description allows you to include any necessary information relevant to the preset beyond its title. It should explain the preset's functionality in a single sentence. The content will be displayed in the preset list and the modal window when using the preset to create a Pulse activity
Instructions
The instructions should guide how to use the preset, including which configurable parameters need to be set and how these settings affect the Pulse activity. The content will be displayed in the modal window when using the preset to create a Pulse activity.
Preset icon
The preset icon is displayed in the presets overview and can be selected from a list of various options.
Preset template
Each preset is based on a template, which is an exported Pulse activity. All Pulse activities based on this preset will inherit the settings of the template, and therefore the exported Pulse activity’s settings.
Only files with the .mbz extension are accepted for this. Setting a preset template is mandatory for creating a preset.
Configurable parameters
The configurable parameters will be displayed and can be directly edited in the modal window when selecting this preset to create a new Pulse activity. The settings most commonly adjusted to customize the preset for an individual Pulse activity should be selected here. When creating a new Pulse activity based on a preset, changes to the preset’s settings are not limited to its configurable parameters.
Display the preset in list
Only enabled presets will appear in the presets overview when creating a new Pulse activity.
Preset template order
By default, a new preset is always displayed last in the presets overview when creating a new Pulse activity and in the presets list. Changing the order number will adjust the preset's position, and all other presets will update their position accordingly.
