General global settings in Kickstart

The general global settings in Kickstart explained

Updated over a month ago

The general settings for the Kickstart format allow site administrators to control how the plugin behaves globally. These determine the workflow for course creators and define behavior and default values for the Kickstart course format and templates. You find them by going to Site administration > Plugins > Course formats > Kickstart format > General settings.

Note: Default settings only apply to newly created templates and can be changed in the template's settings.

  • Automatic template (Pro only)

If a user only has access to one course template, that template will be imported automatically when using the Kickstart course format. A message is displayed to the user notifying them of this action.
