General settings of elements in Content Designer

Configure title, visibility, margins, and padding for elements inside a Content Designer activity.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Each element inside a Content Designer activity has a section called General settings, which appears within the element’s settings. These settings are available for all elements, regardless of type (e.g., heading, paragraph, interactive content). You can access them by clicking the gear icon of an element in the content editor.

Available settings

  • Title

This title will only be displayed in the content editor to help organize and identify the element within the editor. It will not appear on the final content page.

  • Visibility

  • Margin

Controls the space outside the element.

    • Single value: sets margin on all four sides

Example: 10px applies a 10px margin on all sides

  • Padding

Controls the space inside the element, between content and border.

    • Single value: sets margin on all four sides

    • Multiple values (space-separated): top, right, bottom, left

Example: 10px applies a 10px padding on all sides
