Background settings of elements in Content Designer

How to configure background colors, gradients, and images for individual elements in Content Designer.

Each element inside a Content Designer activity has a section called Background, which appears within the element’s settings. These settings are available for all elements, regardless of type (e.g., heading, paragraph, interactive content). You can access them by clicking the gear icon of an element in the content editor.


Available settings

  • Background color/gradient (above)

    Applies a background to the top layer of the element. Supports colors and gradients in hexadecimals.

  • Background color/gradient (below)

    Sets the background behind the content area of the element. Supports colors and gradients in hexadecimals.

  • Background image

    Add an image behind the element’s content. Upload an image or use a direct image URL.

    Supported file types: .ai .bmp .gdraw .gif .ico .jpe .jpeg .jpg .pct .pic .pict .png .svg .svgz .tif .tiff

Examples for Background color/gradient:

  • Gradient : #ff5733, #f1c40f (linear-gradient from red to yellow)

  • Color: #ff5733
