Overview
H5P allows you to create rich, interactive content such as quizzes, games, videos, presentations, and learning objects. These elements are highly customizable and help improve learner engagement and interaction.
To add or edit an H5P element, open the content editor inside a Content Designer activity.
H5P element settings
Package file
Upload the H5P package file you want to use. You can drag and drop it into the designated area or click the plus icon to open Moodle’s file picker.
Adding a package file is mandatory when creating an interactive content element.Mandatory
Decide whether this interactive content element must be completed before the next one is unlocked:
Yes – The user must complete this element to access the next.
No – The next element is available regardless of completion.

Grade settings
Exclude from grade
If enabled, this H5P will not be included in the grade for the Content Designer activity.
Grade settings are only available when grading is enabled for the Content Designer activity.

Other H5P types might work with mandatory enabled but haven’t been tested.
General element settings
Interactive content shares additional settings with other Content Designer elements:
General settings – adjust padding, spacing, and other layout details.
Background – choose background color or image.
Entrance animation – animate the element as it appears on screen.
Scrolling effects – apply effects on scroll.
Responsive settings – control visibility and layout on different screen sizes.
