Details area preferences

Configure how additional information appears when users interact with specific data fields

About

Within the Fields preferences of any data source, you can add a Details button or a Details link. When a user clicks (or hovers) over these elements in the displayed block, the Details area appears to provide more context without leaving the page.

The Details area preferences allow you to control the display behavior, content mapping, and visual style of this information.

You can find these settings when opening the preferences of a Dash block.
