The global block settings for Dash define the default behavior and appearance of Dash blocks across your Moodle site. These settings ensure compatibility with your theme and manage standard content displayed within the blocks.
You can find these settings under Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Dash.
Available general settings
Theme bootstrap version – Choose the version of Bootstrap your theme supports.
CSS class – Apply a custom CSS class to blocks for specific styling needs.
Show header – Decide if the blocks header should be visible or hidden.
Hide when empty – Choose whether blocks should be hidden if it contains no content.
Disable all Dash output – Enable this option only for troubleshooting purposes to disable Dash block rendering.
Dash export data – Enable or disable the data export functionality for Dash data sources.

These settings control the additional users displayed in the my contacts widget
Suggest users that have same interest – Set the maximum number of users to display based on shared interests.
Suggest users that have same cohort – Set the maximum number of users to display who are in the same cohorts.
Suggest users that have same groups – Set the maximum number of users to display who are in the same groups.
Suggest users that have same users – Select specific users from the Moodle installation to be suggested.
Standard terms
Standard terms – Define global content that can be displayed in the Details area. This field supports HTML, filters, and embedded files.
Categories images
Category fallback image – Upload an image to be used as a default if a specific category does not have its own image.
Category list – Configure individual pictures for any existing category in your Moodle installation.
Note: The category images fields are supported by the categories data source, for example.
