Fields are the building blocks of your Dash block. They provide the raw information available for display, from simple database entries to dynamic smart buttons.
You can find these settings when opening the preferences of a Dash block.
Note: While the Fields tab defines what information is available, the final output can be further refined or restricted using Filters and Conditions.
Available fields
The available fields depend on the data source the Dash block is relying on. Each data source comes with its own unique fields. Widgets can also include fields, though these are typically very limited.
Note: The details button and details link are unique to specific data sources. While you add them here, you configure their appearance and behavior in the Details area.
Interaction with Layouts
The interface of the Fields tab is dynamic and changes significantly depending on the Layout you have selected. You should refer to the specific article for your chosen layout to see exactly how to arrange your fields.
