Are your bean bags fire safe?
Are your bean bags fire safe?
Updated over a year ago

The bean bag covers themselves are safe. They are fitted with YKK child proof locking zippers. Nearly all materials will burn should they become hot enough. But the risk of fire and the severity of injuries as a result of fire vary by the type of fabric and are dependent on its flammability.

Clothing, carpeting, drapes and furniture all pose a fire hazard, and this includes bean bags. However, you can mitigate the risk by ensuring that all items meet federal, state and local fire regulations and use high-quality fabric suited for the item’s use.
