The zipper is likely not broken! All zips are tested during manufacture and will Good news โ your zipper likely isnโt broken! All of our bean bags are fitted with YKK child-safety locking zippers, which are specially designed to comply with Australian and U.S. safety regulations. This means the zipper pull (handle) has been intentionally removed to prevent children from accessing the filling.
How to Open the Zipper:
To unlock the zipper safely and correctly:
Locate the small hole on the zipper slider (where the tab would normally be)
Insert a paper clip, safety pin, or corn cob holder into the hole
Gently lift or rotate the clip to release the safety lock
While holding the clip in place, slide the zipper open or closed as needed
๐ Important: Forcing the zipper without releasing the lock can damage the mechanism and void the warranty
What If It Still Wonโt Move?
The locking mechanism may not be disengaged โ try inserting the clip from the other side of the slider
Inspect the zipper from the side to ensure you're accessing the correct side of the lock
For outdoor or pool bean bags, salt, sand, or chlorine may cause the zip to seize โ in that case, try rinsing and applying a little WD-40 to free it up

If the zipper has been damaged by force:
You may return the product for repair
Zipper repairs cost $50 including GST plus return postage
