How to request a new drug card

What to do if your employee has a lost or stolen drug card

If an employee has misplaced their physical drug card and needs a new one, we'd like to preface with the following:

  • We encourage the use of digital drug cards instead as most insurers are trying to minimize the use of plastic to protect the environment.

  • Digital drug cards can be accessed within a plan member online account with their respective insurer. See below insurer-specific links.

  • If an employee is unsure how to log in, please have them contact the insurer direct for help.

If digital drug cards are not suitable for your employee, plan administrators can request a new physical card through our client platform. Please see the video below. Once requested, a new card will be issued within 1-2 weeks.

*Note* As of November 15, 2021 plan members with the Co-operators will no longer receive new or replacement plastic drug cards (read official statement here).

Green Shield Plan Members

To get access to your digital drug card, please log into your Green Shield account by visiting www.greenshield.ca. You can also access the digital drug card by downloading the Green Shield On the Go mobile app (Android, iPhone).

Co-operators Plan Members

To get access to your digital drug card, please log into your Co-operators Benefits Now desktop site. You can also access the digital drug card by downloading the Benefits Now mobile app (Android, iPhone).

If plan members wish to have a physical copy, they can also print a paper version of their drug card.
