"Save Content" throws an error
If saving a guidebook page fails, and especially if it started failing on a page that used to save fine, the cause is almost always the size of the attachments on that page.
Each guidebook page can only hold a certain amount of data. Once the images and attachments on a single page exceed that, the save fails, and it will keep failing even if the change you just made was a single line of text.
To fix it, reduce the number or the file size of the attachments on that page. Large photographs are the usual culprit. Splitting content across more pages also works, since the limit applies per page rather than per guidebook.
Adding a YouTube video
Drag the video block onto the page and it can look as though there is nowhere to enter a link. The field is there, but it is behind the block's settings, and it does not want the full URL.
Drag the video block onto the page.
Click the gear icon to open its settings.
Select YouTube as the source.
Paste only the video ID into the source field.
The video ID is the part of the URL after v=. So for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSSp-tIR6ow you would enter just zSSp-tIR6ow.
Pasting the whole URL is the most common reason a video block stays blank.
The page jumps back to the top after every edit
This is expected behaviour rather than a fault. After adding or editing a section, the editor refreshes and returns you to the top of the page, so you will need to scroll back down to where you were working. It is worth knowing before you build a long guidebook.
