What is the daily Gmail sending limit?

  • With a regular Gmail account, you can send 500 emails/day.

  • With paid services like G Suite (Google Workspace), you can send over 2,000 emails/day.

What is the difference between Gmail and G Suite accounts?

  • With a Gmail account, you will get a 500 limit, either emails or recipients. For example, you can send 1 email to 500 recipients or 10 emails to 50 recipients each.

  • With a G Suite account, you can send 2000 messages per day and 10000 recipients per day.

Does the BCC limit affect the daily recipient limit?

Yes. All addresses in the To, CC, and BCC fields are included in the count of recipients per message, so an addition in any of those fields will affect the daily recipient limit.

What are safe email sending ranges?

Maximum number of emails to send per day

  • 200 and below - Safe amount

  • 500 - 1,000 - This is a reasonable amount if you have reply rates above 10%

Minimum seconds to wait between emails

  • 60 - 300 seconds - Safe frequency

  • 30 seconds - This is a reasonable frequency if your reply rates are above 10%

  • 10 - 15 seconds - This is a high frequency and may be reported as spam
