Creating a Direct Sales form
From the author portal, on the left of your screen select "Direct Sales" and then select "Create Direct Sale Form."
Customize your Direct Sales Form.
Title: Enter a title for your form.
Description: Use this box to include any reader instructions, refund policy notes, sale details, or contact expectations.
Currency: Select your preferred currency for this sale. Readers will be charged in this currency.
Form Close Date: Your form will close on this date and no additional orders will be accepted after this date. You can also choose to leave this field blank to leave your form open indefinitely.
Private: Toggling "Private" prevents the form from appearing publicly on your Beventi profile. Use this setting if you want to share the form only through a direct link — for example, for a specific reader group or an in-person table sale.
Select "Create & Continue."
On the Products tab, select "Add Products." Choose the products or bundles you want to sell from this form, then add the selected items.
Once you've added products, set pricing, stock, and buyer limits for each item.
Prices: Adjust the price for each product, bundle, or variant as needed. Prices are tied to the form currency.
Stock limits: Set a stock limit when you only want a set number of units to sell from this form. Variant-level limits are also available.
Limit per customer: Use this when each buyer should only be able to purchase a certain quantity of an item (e.g., a limit of 1 per customer for a special edition). Leave the field blank if no per-customer limit is needed.
On the Shipping tab, choose a fulfillment method under "Delivery Options."
Shipping: Choose this when buyers should enter a shipping address and pay shipping rates at checkout. Set up shipping profiles, zones, and rates before publishing.
Digital / Local Pickup: Choose this for in-person table pickup, local pickup, or digital delivery. Add clear Delivery instructions that buyers will see at checkout (e.g., "Pick up your order at Booth 18 during event hours. Show your receipt when you arrive.").
Using the Settings tab, you can review or edit the form's title, description, close date, and privacy and order settings. This tab can also be used to delete the form if no orders have been placed.
Click "Save Settings."
Select "Publish" at the top right of the page. You can publish the form immediately or schedule it for a later date. Once published, the form can accept orders. From the form's Share tab you can copy the form link or download a QR code. If the form is public, Beventi will notify your followers after publishing.
FAQ
Can I create a Direct Sales form before adding products? Yes. You can create the form first, then add products and bundles from the editor.
Can I change the title later? Yes. Direct Sales forms can be renamed from the Settings tab.
Can I make a public form private later? Yes. Open the form settings and update the "Private" toggle. Save the settings after changing it.
Can one product be on multiple forms? Yes. A product can be used on more than one order form. Review your stock and inventory settings when the same item is sold on multiple forms.
Can I sell bundles through Direct Sales? Yes. You can add bundles to Direct Sales forms and set bundle prices and limits.
Why can I not publish the form? Check for missing or invalid item prices, missing products, payment setup issues, or delivery setup issues. If Beventi finds missing shipping rates or missing delivery instructions, it will send you to the relevant setup area before publishing.
Can I publish a Direct Sales form without shipping? Yes, if you choose "Digital/Local Pickup."
Can I use shipping for some items and pickup for others on the same form? Use one fulfillment method per form. If different items need different delivery promises, consider using separate forms so readers see clear checkout instructions.
Will private forms notify followers? No. Private forms are shared only through the direct link or QR code.
Can I schedule a form to go live later? Yes. Select "Publish," choose "Schedule," then pick a date, time, and timezone. Scheduled forms can be rescheduled or cancelled before they go live.
How do I stop accepting orders after a sale ends? Set a close date in the form settings to automatically stop new orders on a specific date or, to close the form immediately, under Settings change the publishing status to "Closed."
