So your event registration is full–– Congratulations! Now what?
If you're looking to continue collecting registration information to create a waitlist you can pull from if spots open up, then read on!
A waitlist is set up like any other registration item. The main difference is that you won't want to charge the registrant anything. Instead, they will add the item to their cart, provide their information, and wait for you to reach out to them if a spot becomes available.
Start in the Registration dropdown in Items. Click the "Add Item" button to start the process.
Call the item whatever you want (i.e. Waitlist, Waiting List, Overflow List, etc.) and set the price to $0. Also ensure that the "Number of Golfers" field is set to 0. Otherwise, the system will consider the item SOLD OUT because it does not want to register any more golfers beyond the limit you have set.
By clicking Advanced Options in the item settings and toggling on Hide Price, there will be no confusion on if this is an item for purchase. You'll also want to toggle on the "Display on Registration Page" option when the time comes to make the Waitlist visible on your website. We also suggest dragging and dropping it to the top of the page so it's easily visible when you're ready to use it.
You now have a Waitlist on your site! In your Full Report, you'll have a sheet that details the information for anyone who signs up for the waitlist that is timestamped so you can follow a first-come, first-served basis.
