BirdEase's Live Scoring Feature allows your golfers to relay their scores real-time from the course and you to display a leaderboard at the tournament proceedings.

The first step to using the Live Scoring Feature is to assign your golfers to starting tee assignments in the Golfer Assignments Builder. This will tell the Live Scoring Feature where each team's starting tee is.

To access the Live Scoring setup, you'll need to click on the Live Scoring page in your dashboard. It will appear just beneath the Golfer Assignments page under the Management divider.

To get started, click the three dots on the far right-hand side to open the action items. You will see an option to Activate. This enables Live Scoring for your website, and allows you to start the configuration process.

Next, you'll use the action items to click on Configure. This allows you to establish the par, yardage, and sponsor (if desired) for each tee. You can quickly move through setup by filling out the information for each hole, then clicking "Update and Next."

Once Live Scoring is activated and configured (you may need to repeat this process if you are playing a multi-course event), it's ready to go. Any time you make an edit to the Golfer Assignments (i.e. moving an individual or team to another hole) you will need to use the Rebuild button in the action items to tell the system to sync up with the updated starting assignments.

Just before your event, you'll want to Send Live Scoring Text Messages. This will send a notification to all golfers with their unique link to keep track of scores for the tournament.

If a golfer arrives at check-in and states that they never received a notification, you can edit their information using the Check-In Page on the day of the event to enter/confirm a phone number for them, then use the action items for that golfer in the Check-In page to send them another text message individually with their link.
