Setting Up Your Two-Factor Authentication

Updated over a week ago

Why Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

It provides your BK8.io account an additional layer of security to safeguard it against any unauthorized access or any suspicious activity that may lead to your account being suspended.

Our 2FA system requires a randomized code from a linked mobile device of your own during the login process.

Once set up, this heightened level of security extends to activities such as withdrawals tipping, and all transactions involving fund transfers.

To Set Up Your 2FA:

I. Go to Settings via your BK8.io account.

II. Locate the “Two-Factor Authentication" section.

III. Select the “Enable 2FA” button. You will be prompted to link your account to an authenticator app like Google Authenticator app or Authy.

IV. Once selected, follow the instructions on-screen and secure your token. In the event that you lose access to the device linked to your BK8.io account, you can use this token to regain access.

To Disable 2FA

If you wish to disable your two-factor authentication, please visit the Settings page and enter your 2FA code from your preferred authenticator app and select the “Disable 2FA” button.

Loss of 2FA Code

If you lose access to either your 2FA or your security token, please contact our customer service via LiveChat for further assistance.

Resetting Your 2FA

If you have entered your 2FA code five (5) times and have reached the maximum attempt(s) required, functions such as: Tipping, Withdrawal, and Changing Email/Password, will be temporarily restricted.

To reset your 2FA attempt(s), please go to the Settings page and locate the 2FA section. Select the Reset button; a verification link will be sent to your registered email.

Note: Your 2FA verification link is only valid for five (5) minutes. If it expires, please request a new link to restart the resetting process.
