Email and Phone Number Format Validation

Curb Hero checks the formatting of email addresses and phone numbers during the sign-in process which prevents blatantly fake or incorrect email formats from being accepted (e.g., “abc@123” or “0123456789”).

This means ensuring that inputted emails and phone numbers meet standard email format requirements (e.g., emails contain “@” and a properly formatted website domain)

NOTE: This method only checks for proper formatting and does not verify if the email or phone number is valid/active – there are no public aggregators of all valid/invalid emails or phone numbers.

  • Example “johndoe@gmail.com” will pass formatting checks even though it's unlikely that it's your visitor's email. Why? Because "johndoe@gmail.com" is a working gmail address that someone has registered. (Google/gmail doesn't have a public directory of all email addresses and the owner of the email so there's no 100% foolproof way of verifying the email at time of entry)

  • See how we do attempt to verify contact info in the section below.

Lead Verification using Name, Email, Phone Number

We have 3rd party data providers that pull profile data associated with a new lead's name, email and phone number. If the profile data matches across the various data profiles then we have high confidence that the lead has provided accurate info to you.

Verified Leads have a blue outline around their avatar in the My Leads table. If you open the lead's details, you'll see a "Verified" badge below their photo too.

Benefits of Verification

  • Helps identify leads with valid and consistent contact details.

  • Provides agents with more confidence in outreach (much less likely they provided fake info)

Notes:

  • this is an Enhanced Feature (it's free for agents still but see more info here)

  • Leads that aren't verified aren't necessarily fake though. Just means that we're less confident in their data.
