How do I get my Poloniex API key?
API is the initially preferred method of integration.
If necessary, additional CSV files can be uploaded afterwards. When uploading CSV files, make sure to avoid transaction duplicates. More information on this can be found under CSV file upload.
Log in to your Poloniex account.
Click on the profile icon and select API Keys.
Now click on the "+ Create API" button.
(If not already enabled, press the Enable API button first and confirm the following email).Keep all API permissions set to Read-Only and IP Access: Unrestricted by default.
Confirm the process by clicking Save, then enter your verification codes (2FA) and confirm by clicking Submit.
To import your data, you must first create an Integration in the Blockpit Web App.
To do so, navigate to the menu item Integrations in your Dashboard and click on +Integration.Select Poloniex from the list of exchanges, and then copy the API key and the Secret into the designated fields. Confirm your entries by clicking Continue.
💡 Tip: If you are unable to create an Integration without "Mismatched Balances" using an initial OAuth/API integration and additional CSV uploads, try creating a CSV Integration first and then convert your Integration into an API Integration afterwards. In addition, use a current import start date (e.g. import time span: today's date) as a separator to avoid transaction duplicates.
Which data can be imported via Poloniex API?
Your complete transaction history always serves as the basis for your tax report. Preferably, automatic API solutions are used to import your transactions. Our team is committed to implementing all API data provided by your exchange for you.
Using the following list, you can identify all products that are implemented:
Transactions
📅 Transactions before 30.07.2021 are not available via API.
Supported
✅ Deposits & Withdrawals
(Transfers from deprecated pre 2022 Poloniex V1 to active V2+ integrations must also be added manually).
✅ Fees
✅ Spot Market Trades
✅ Earn: Rewards & Distribution
✅ Futures Trades PnL (Profit, Loss, Fee and Funding)
Not Supported
⛔ Buy Crypto
⛔ Margin Trades
⛔ Trading Bots
In case of missing transactions, you can help our support team via chat-request to include them in our import spectrum (if technically possible).
Missing transactions can be found by comparing the actual history of your exchange. You can then add these directly to your Blockpit Integration by subsequently uploading your CSV file (see below) or by migrating your CSV data into our Excel template.
Synced Balance
Supported
✅ Complete import scope
If your Synced Balance is displayed incompletely, you can help our support team via chat-request to include it in our import spectrum (if technically possible).
How do I get my Poloniex CSV file?
Download and upload your Poloniex CSV file
The following steps will help you download your Poloniex CSV file and import it into Blockpit:
Log into your Poloniex account.
Navigate to Activity or Orders in the top navigation bar and select Export (or hover over the order icon in the top-right corner and select Data Export / Download).
Export the required transaction files individually (repeat for full tax history, max. 1 year per file):
Trades: Open Spot Trade History, set Side and Pair to All, select your date range, click Search, and export the CSV.
Deposits: Open Deposits History, select All coins, define the date range, and export the CSV.
Withdrawals: Open Withdrawals History, select All coins, define the date range, and export the CSV.
Futures PnL (optional): Open Futures PnL History, select All coins, define the date range, and export the CSV.
Borrowing & Repayments (optional): Open Spot Borrowing History and Spot Repayment History to export margin records if applicable.
Click Export (or Generate / Submit) to initiate the export request.
Once the file status changes to Completed / Ready, click the Download icon to save your
.csvfile. We recommend renaming the file with its content type and timeframe (e.g., Poloniex Trades 2023-01-01 - 2023-12-31.csv).
You can now import the file into Blockpit:
Option A – New Standalone CSV Integration: Click Add Integration > select Poloniex > switch to the CSV tab.
Option B – Existing Integration (Consecutive Upload): Go to your Integrations tab, click Edit / Upload CSV on your existing Poloniex integration as shown below.
Now drag the corresponding file(s) into the field displayed below and confirm your entry with Save to upload your transactions.
❗ When uploading your transactions into your Integration, the system does not check for transaction duplicates.
Transactions that already exist in your Integration must therefore be removed from the CSV file before uploading.
💡 If the upload of your original CSV file does not work, please try to update your internet browser version first or use an alternative browser to eliminate potential sources of error.
