With liquidity providing you put two assets into a pool and receive an LP token in return. Blockpit shows this as an exchange: your assets go out, the LP token comes in. When you exit, you swap it back. Common dApps such as Uniswap V2, SushiSwap or ShibaSwap already import wallet integrations via the public key automatically as a Trade against the LP token.
Example: ETH and UNI in one pool
What happens | In Blockpit | |
Entry | ETH and UNI go into the pool in equal parts | 50% ETH as a trade to LP token, 50% UNI as a trade to LP token |
Exit | LP token back into ETH and UNI | 50% LP token as a trade to ETH, 50% LP token as a trade to UNI |
ℹ️ Good to know: The fees the pool earns you are included in the value gain of the LP token. They therefore do not appear as separate transactions but are only realized when you swap back into your assets.
Was your pool not recognized, or only partly? Then entry and exit appear in your wallet as transactions with Unlabeled (In/Out). Here is how to replicate them:
✅ If you only ever use one pool at a time or trade different assets in the pools, then you can replicate the trades directly in your wallet integration. Steps 1 and 2 do not apply.
✅ If you use several pools with the same assets, then create a separate integration for each pool. Blockpit calculates your holdings using FIFO. In separate integrations, the LP tokens and assets of different pools do not get mixed up.
1️⃣ Create one Manual Integration per pool (only needed with several pools that use the same assets).
2️⃣ Edit the deposit into the pool and the withdrawal from the pool, each to a Transfer into or out of this integration.
3️⃣ In the pool integration (or directly in your wallet integration), replicate the trades as in the example above. As an LP token, use a generic asset. If you do not know the ratios of the tokens in the pool, split the LP tokens half and half between the two assets as a fallback: one trade per asset against 50% of the LP tokens.
Do you not receive an LP token? Some pools and protocols do not pay out an LP token, so you have nothing to swap against. In that case, use the labels DeFi Transfer (or, if it is staking, Stake Transfer): This moves the deposited assets into a sub-integration. They stay visible in your total holdings, and on exit you bring them back with the same label.
ℹ️ Good to know: If the pool pays out income you have not recorded so far, more comes back on exit than you deposited. This creates a mismatch in the sub-integration, for example a negative balance. You use this shortfall to book the missing rewards directly in the Ledger View with the function Auto-Balancing (➕).
Rewards: If you also entered staking, lending or governance contracts in the pool, record their income from the inflow (claim), possibly from the exit, as Staking, Interest or Bounty.
