Creating an itemized discount on an order.

If you prefer to add a discount that will show up as a line item on your order, you can do so by building a "service". Here's how that is done:

  1. Create the "service" by navigating to your "services" section in the dashboard.

    1. Create a new service named "Discount"

    2. Set the price to be negative, ie for a $100 discount your price will be "-$100"

    3. Make sure there are NO parts and NO labor associated with the service

    4. You can add a description ie "Complimentary discount for repeat customer"

    5. Click on "create" to save the discount service

  2. For any orders you wish to add the discount to, just add the service named "discount" to the order.

  3. πŸŽ‰ That's it! The price is updated to reflect the discount.
