Steps to resolve game loading issues.

Here are recommended steps to help solve issues related to loading and freezing during play, game crashes, or inability to access the game portal:

Step 1: Check Your Device

Review this article on Device Requirements to ensure the device requirements are met.

Step 2: Check your Browser and review the Network Requirements

For issues when playing Boddle using an internet browser (and not the iOS or Android app), review this article on Supported Browsers & Network Requirements. Click here to review the article.

Step 3: Try reloading the browser tab with the error

For the web version of Boddle, try reloading the browser tab that is showing an error.

Step 4: Ensure students are going to play.boddlelearning.com

Ensure that students are going to play.boddlelearning.com and not trying to log in to the parent/teacher portal.

Step 5: Close all background apps and excess browser tabs

Close all background apps and excess browser tabs. This will help the game run faster.

Step 6: Ensure your browser is up-to-date

Ensure your browser is up to date. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to update your browser.

Step 7: Clear your browser’s cache

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clear your specific browser’s cache. The GIF below illustrates the process to clear the cache on Chrome browsers.

Step 8: For WebGL errors within the game, check your Chrome browser settings to ensure graphics acceleration is turned on

  1. In your Chrome browser URL search bar, copy and paste: chrome://settings/system

  2. Press your enter key to redirect to your system settings page.

  3. Under the System heading, enable the Use graphics acceleration when available option.

  4. If Chrome asks you to relaunch your browser, exit completely out of Chrome and re-open your Chrome browser. Then try loading the Boddle game again.

  5. To confirm the accelerators are active -

    When Chrome starts, copy & paste chrome://gpu into the search bar. Press your enter key to search.

    Check that the words Hardware Accelerated appear next to most of the items in the "Graphics Feature Status heading
