1. Add Your Students

Need help deciding which method to use? Check out our quick guide here.

Option 1: Sync Your Roster

  • Connect your Google Classroom or Clever account to automatically pull in your class.

  • Students can log in using their Google or Clever login without needing to remember new usernames.

  • If students already have Boddle accounts, syncing will automatically link their account to your class.

Option 2: Other Ways to Add Students

If syncing isn’t an option, you can:

Option 3: Create New Accounts

If your students have never used Boddle before, you'll want to create new accounts for them.

  • Click on the "Add Students" button at the top of the classroom page.

  • Select "Add New Students" and enter your students' names.

2. Help Your Students Log In

Once your students are added, they're ready to sign in and start their learning adventure!

Students can log in with:

  • Google or Clever login:
If you synced your class, students can click the Google or Clever logo to sign in.

  • Boddle username and password:
You can find each student’s username and password in your teacher portal. Students will need to type these in exactly as shown.

  • QR Code login:
If you’ve printed login cards, students can simply scan their QR code to sign in.

Not sure which login method is best? Check out this Login Guide.

3. Start Learning in the Game! 🎉

Once students log in, they can start learning right away! You can either let them begin with the Placement Test or assign specific skills to focus on.

How Students Access Assignments and Practice

No matter what you assign, whether it’s the Placement Test, Assignments, or Math Facts, students will see the questions as they play in any of the game modes.

They just need to start playing, and the learning content will automatically appear in their games.

Option 1: Let the Placement Test Guide Them

  • The Placement Test starts automatically the first time students log in.

  • It helps find the right starting level for each student.

  • Students will know they’re in the Placement Test when they see an “I don’t know this yet” button.

  • They can answer Placement Test questions in any game mode.

If a student has used Boddle before, you can restart their test by clicking the Refresh icon next to their name in the Progress Report.

Option 2: Start with Assignments or Math Facts

If you’d like to jump right into specific skills, you can create assignments or set Math Facts.

  • Assignments and Math Facts will pause the Placement Test temporarily.

  • Students will find assignment questions and Math Facts in any game mode they choose to play.

To create an assignment:

  1. Click "Assignments" on the left panel.

  2. Choose Math, ELA, or Science at the top.

  3. Click "Create Assignment."

As soon as you create it, it will show up automatically when students play!
