The Bold Account is a demand deposit account issued by Pathward®, N.A., that lets you make purchases, withdraw funds, manage your account, and more. Paired with your Bold Visa® Debit Card, you can access your account for everyday spending—in-store, online, and while traveling.
This guide explains how to use your Bold Debit Card for payments, withdrawals, and account management.
Activating Your Debit Card
Activate your Bold Debit Card through the Bold.org mobile app, online Banking dashboard, or by calling customer service.
Activation is required before you can start using your debit card.

Create or change your PIN through the Bold.org mobile app or online Banking dashboard.
Never share your PIN with anyone for security reasons.
Adding Funds to Your Bold Debit Card
Add funds to your Bold Debit Card through:
Direct deposit from your employer.
Bank transfers from external accounts.
Debit card transfers.

Making Purchases
Use your Bold Visa® Debit Card at any merchant that accepts Visa.
Insert, swipe, or tap your debit card at checkout or use contactless payment via your mobile wallet.
Enter your PIN or sign if required.
Online purchases may require card details and security verification.
Withdrawing Funds
Use your debit card at any ATM that accepts Visa debit cards.
Insert your debit card and enter your PIN.
Select the withdrawal amount and confirm.
Bold.org does not charge ATM fees. Fees may be charged by the ATM provider.
Using Your Debit Card Internationally
Use your Bold Debit Card at international merchants and ATMs that accept Visa.
Bold.org does not charge foreign transaction fees. Fees from networks or international payment processors may still apply.
Adding Your Debit Card to a Digital Wallet
Add your Bold Debit Card to Apple Pay® or Google Pay™ for seamless transactions.
Follow the instructions in your digital wallet app to add your Bold Debit Card.
Use your digital wallet for quick, contactless payments.
Making Contactless Payments
Tap your debit card or use your mobile wallet at terminals that support contactless payments.
For added security, some transactions may still require a PIN.
Using the Card for Recurring Payments
Use your Bold Debit Card for automatic payments, such as subscriptions, utilities, and memberships.
Ensure your debit card details are up to date to avoid service interruptions.
If you receive a new debit card, update your payment information with service providers to continue uninterrupted billing.

View transactions and your balance through your online Banking dashboard or the Bold.org mobile app.
