Methods of Unlocking Your Card
Online Banking Dashboard
Unlock your Bold Debit Card securely through the Online Banking Dashboard. Accessible from any web browser, this method allows you to regain full access to your debit card with just a few clicks.
Bold.org Mobile App
Easily unlock your Bold Debit Card anytime, anywhere, using the Bold.org mobile app. With its intuitive interface, this method provides a quick way to restore card access while on the go.
Customer Service
If you prefer direct interaction with a representative, you can unlock your Bold Debit Card by contacting Bold.org’s customer service. A representative can process your request to help you regain access to your debit card.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Online Banking Dashboard
1. Log in to your Bold.org account. Go to Bold.org and click "Login" in the upper right-hand corner.
2. Navigate to the Banking tab. In the upper center bar, click on "Banking."
3. Select "My card". From the tabs on the left-hand side, select "My card."
4. Click "Unlock the card." You will see a graphic of your card in grey, signaling that it is locked. Select “Unlock the card” from the tab to the right of your card.
You can also select "Unlock card" from the white, rounded button on top of your card.
5. Confirmation message. You will receive a confirmation message on the same page, indicating that your card is unlocked.
Mobile App
Open the Bold.org mobile app. Click on the app icon on your phone.
Log in with your credentials. This is the same username and password as your Bold.org account.
Navigate to the "Card" tab. Clicking on the "Card" tab pulls your greyed-out card.
Select Unlock card. Click on the "Unlock card" button sitting on top of the graphic of your greyed-out card.
Confirmation message. A notification with a little green checkmark will pop up, indicating that your card has been unlocked.
Customer Service
Call Bold.org customer service. Bold.org's customer service can be reached at: 833-238-7992. This number is also on the back of your debit card.
Follow prompts. You will be asked to use the keypad to answer specific prompts so that we can direct you to the right representative.
Provide the necessary card and personal details.
Request to unlock your card. Explicitly state your desire to unlock your card to the representative.
Confirmation message. The representative will verbally confirm with you on the call that your card has been unlocked.
Situations Requiring Card Unlocking
After Resolving a Security Issue
Unlocking your debit card after confirming its safety following suspicious activity ensures you can resume normal use. Before unlocking, take steps to ensure your account is secure, such as updating passwords, checking your account, and reviewing recent transactions. Your transaction history can be checked on the online banking dashboard or through the mobile app.
Resuming Card Use
After a period of inactivity or a planned lock, unlocking your debit card lets you resume regular transactions. Check your account status and update all your payment settings (through the online banking dashboard or the mobile app) to ensure everything is in order before using your debit card again.
