Quiet Off-Platform Activity (QOTP) refers to any client-facing interaction that happens outside of the Book An Artist platform — this includes site visits, phone calls, payments, emails, or any other direct conversation between the artist and client that doesn’t occur within the platform chat.

When the system detects such off-platform activity and no effort is made to bring the conversation back to the platform, the order may be marked as Quiet Off-Platform. Once marked, it impacts the artist’s activity limits on the platform.

What is the Balance in the Quiet Off-Platform?

Each artist has a set QOTP balance — this is the number of Quiet Off-Platform orders you’re allowed before your new leads are paused.

  • When an order is marked as QOTP, your balance decreases.

  • If your balance reaches zero, your new leads will be automatically turned off.

  • To reactivate your leads, you’ll need to resolve the QOTP status by either continuing the conversation on the platform or submitting supporting details for review.

How Does QOTP Impact Me as an Artist?

Each artist is given a specific QOTP balance/limit — this is the number of Quiet Off-Platform activities allowed before your new leads are temporarily paused.
Every time an order is marked as QOTP, your balance decreases.
Once it reaches zero, your new leads will be turned OFF automatically, until conversations are brought back to the platform or supporting details are reviewed and accepted.

What to Do If My Order Is Marked as Off-Platform?

If your order is tagged as Off-Platform, here’s what you should do:

  1. Bring the conversation back to the platform chat — this helps maintain context and transparency.

  2. If that's not possible, submit supporting details through the Artist Panel for review.

  3. The system and team will assess the submission and decide if the order can stay on-platform or should be marked as QOTP.

Taking timely action helps prevent further impact on your QOTP balance.

What Happens Before an Order is Marked as QOTP?

There’s a pre-QOTP warning phase called OTP (Off-Platform):

  • When an artist shares sensitive information outside the platform (like contact details or payment info), the order is flagged as OTP.

  • After 24 hours, a warning alert appears on that specific order.

  • You then have another 24 hours to take action.

To prevent the order from becoming QOTP:

  1. Submit all required details via the OTP form in the Artist Panel.

  2. The system will review the details and decide if the order can remain on the platform or should be marked as QOTP.
