You can select the image shape you'd like to create, as well as the art style you'd like it to be in. You also have the option to upload an image as a design or composition reference.

When you're ready, click Add to Book in the top right corner.

Editing your design

Once an image has been added to a book, you can use Book Creator's edit tools to edit it in the same way you can for other images. Click on the image, then the pencil icon in the top right corner to add pen drawings to your image or erase parts.

If you want to generate a new image using the same prompt, you can do this by opening the app again and typing your prompt. This will add a new image on top of the original, and you can decide which you would like to keep.

Using the same prompt will generate different images each time, so if you delete an image after adding it to your Book Creator page, it won't be possible to get it back again or to generate an identical image.

Providing a safe learning environment

Adobe Express includes guardrails for generative AI prompts and results, which help ensure that content is appropriate for students. It is possible that some generated content might be inappropriate for younger students. More information about generative AI for School Admins and Teachers is available here.
