Book Creator is fully accessible using a keyboard, allowing you to navigate menus, edit content, read books and even draw, without ever needing a mouse.
General tab key navigation
Move through menus: Press the Tab key to move through menus and content within your book or library.
Go backwards: Press Shift + Tab to navigate backwards through items.
Open an item: Press Enter to open a selected or highlighted item on the screen.
π¬ Note: Safari users: Press Option (Alt) + Tab simultaneously instead.
Object manipulation
Open contextual menu: Press the spacebar when an item is highlighted to open its contextual menu (edit, delete, resize, etc.).
Reposition: Press the arrow keys when an item is highlighted to reposition it on the page.
Hold shift while using the arrow keys to move objects in larger increments.
Inspector: Press the I key when an item is highlighted to open the inspector panel in the toolbar. This allows you to format text, add links to images, and adjust other properties.
Reading books
Read to me: Press spacebar to start or stop the 'Read to me' function when in read mode.
Scroll books: Press the left and right arrow keys to navigate across:

pages of a book in read mode
books on your library bookshelf
Drawing with the Pen Tool
Position pen: Press the left and right arrow keys to precisely position the cursor after selecting the pen tool.
Draw: Hold down the spacebar while using the arrow keys to apply the pen strokes.
Large jumps: Press shift simultaneously with the arrow keys to move the cursor in larger increments (10px at a time).
Other useful keyboard shortcuts
Delete items: Press the backspace key to delete a highlighted item.
Copy: Press the Control + C or Command + C keys to copy an item.
Cut: Press the Control + X or Command + X keys to cut an item.
Paste: Press the Control + V or Command + V keys to paste an item.
Undo: Press the Control + Z or Command + Z keys to undo what you just did.
