Book Creator allows for right-to-left text in certain languages

Some languages are written from right to left on the page. So we made an allowance for text such as this!

When you type in Arabic or Hebrew into Book Creator, the app will automatically detect it and display the text right to left.

A screen displays an edit text window with a Hebrew keyboard at the bottom. The text in the edit window reads: תָּבֹא מַלְכוּתֶךָ יַעֲשֶׂה רְצוֹנְךְ בָּאָרֶץ כַּאֲשֶׁר נַעֲשָׂה בַשָּׁמַיִם.

Reading your book right to left

You can change your book so that its pages are turned right to left. In the online version of Book Creator first read your book then choose Settings and select 'Right to left pages'. Remember to click 'Save settings' if you'd like everyone to read your book in this direction.

A settings menu is open, with the title "SETTINGS". Under the "DISPLAY" section, there are two options: "Side by side pages" and "Right to left pages", both of which are toggled on.

In the iPad version of Book Creator you can also change your book to turn pages right to left.

  1. Tap the title of your book and you'll see iBook display settings

  2. Tap through and toggle on the Right to left setting (note this is for square and landscape books only, it won't work for portrait books).

  3. When you click the Play button to read your book, you'll see that the pages now turn from right to left!
