What is the Visit Library feature?
The Visit Library feature provides education leaders, coaches and admins with easy access to a Teacher's libraries.
What has changed?
In Admin Console, you can access the Teacher's user profile by clicking on the Teacher's avatar or from the menu option. The profile pop up provides a summary of the Teacher's books, and libraries with a link to visit a library.
How does it work?
As a user with admin permissions when you visit a Teacher's library you are temporarily assigned 'co-teacher' privileges and can perform any task a co-teacher can perform. Including but not limited to;
view and edit books
configure library settings
add co-teachers
As a library visitor you will be asked to provide the reason for your visit. Visiting a library will open a new browser tab in the book creator app.
As a library visitor you will be able to browse content, read books, show invite codes, configure library settings, promote co-teachers.
What will the Teacher see?
The owner of the library will see a notification of the visit detailing who, when and reason for visit.
How do I leave a visited library?
A maximum of 10 visited libraries will be saved on your Teacher Dashboard, they are recognisable by the 'visiting' banner. You can re-visit libraries from your Teacher Dashboard. To leave a library when you have completed your visit, select leave library from the menu.
How do I get this feature?
If you have a premium license, and are an administrator for the organisation then you will automatically have access to visit a Teacher's library.
FAQs
Are there any restrictions on libraries that an administrator can visit?
Yes, visitors will not be permitted to access a Teacher's private library.
How long will I have access to a library for?
There is no time limit to the access of a library but you will only be able to visit a maximum of 10 libraries before your visit is closed.
