What Could Make My Application Take Longer?
Some applicants may find their application takes longer than 20 to 30 minutes. The most common reasons for a longer application process are:
Failed identity verification — if Boom is unable to verify your identity automatically, additional steps may be required to confirm who you are. Please have your identification documents available.
Inability to verify income — if your income cannot be verified through the standard process, you may need to upload additional supporting documents such as pay stubs, bank statements, or tax returns.
Missing information or documents — if you do not have all required information or documents on hand when you begin, you may need to pause your application and return to it once you have gathered everything.
What Should I Have Ready Before I Start?
Each property management company has different criteria, so please review their resident qualifications before starting the application. In most cases, you will need to provide the following:
A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) for identity verification.
Your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
Proof of income — such as recent pay stubs, bank statements, an offer letter, or tax returns.
Your housing history for the past two years, including previous addresses and landlord contact information.
Your employment information, including your employer's name, address, and contact details.
