Communication Type Policy

How LSC admins create a communication type policy and apply it to accounts to limit communication types on scheduled appointments.

Written by Quinn Bott

LSC administrators use a communication type policy to limit which communication types are available for a given account when creating scheduled appointments.

Note: To limit account access for on-demand communication types, update the account's Feature Access instead.

Create a communication type policy

  1. Go to Configuration>Company>Customize and select "List Management".

  2. Select "Communication Type" from the side menu, then select "Create Communication Type List Policy".

  3. Name your policy and, optionally, add a description. Select "Create Policy".

  4. Select the new policy, then select "List Configuration> + Add New List Item"

  5. In the pop-up, choose a communication type from the dropdown and select "Create List Item".

  6. Repeat for each communication type you want in the policy. Once you have added all of them, you can optionally select "Reorder" to change their order.

Apply the policy to accounts

  1. In the policy, select "Policy Members".

  2. Select "Add Accounts".

  3. Choose the accounts you want in the policy, then select "Add Chosen".

Next steps / Getting more help

If a communication type is not available on an account's scheduled appointments, confirm the account is a member of the policy, then contact Boostlingo Support with the account name and policy name. If you are unsure how to reach Support, contact your Account Manager.
