Here are the frequently asked questions about Bag Protection.


How does Bag Protection work?

The Bag Protection is a paid service automatically added to every reservation made with us. The current Bag Protection rate varies and this price breakdown is shown to all customers as they are confirming the booking.​


What does it cover?

We offer a maximum compensation of $10,000 (€10,000 in the EU, £10,000 in the UK, or any other currency that applies) from Bounce for items that were lost, stolen, or damaged. This is how the compensation works:

  • Subject to evaluation

  • Wear and tear of items, and

  • Proof of evidence presented by the customer


Is every bag covered under Bag Protection?

Yes, each bag is covered under Bag Protection. When you book a reservation, there is an additional service fee per bag for Bag Protection. We ensure your items are stored safely out of reach from the location's patrons.

Take Note: In case of any mishaps, our $10,000 Bag guarantee provides peace of mind during your travels.


How do I activate compensation under Bag Protection?

To activate compensation under the Bag Protection, please follow these steps below:

  1. You need to have a valid Booking for Storage Services for the applicable item and proof of payment.

  2. Ensure that you have followed all check-in and check-out procedures for each item stored,

  3. You must have booked the storage service directly through the official Bounce platform.

  4. Photographed Tagged Items: A photo of each item with its unique tag or bag needs to be taken at the time of check-in.

  5. All on-screen instructions during the check-in/out process must be followed meticulously.

Take Note:

  • You must report any theft, loss, or damage within 24 hours of your scheduled storage service completion via chat or email to support@usebounce.com.

  • Evidence of Loss/Damage: You need to provide undeniable proof that the item was:

    • ​Stolen: A police report is crucial

    • Damaged: Photos or video footage of the damage are necessary

    • Lost: Evidence demonstrating the loss while under Bounce's care is required.

    • Additional Requests: Bounce might request further documentation to support your claim.


Can I remove Bag Protection from my reservation?

No, Bag Protection is mandatory and automatically included when making a reservation. It cannot be removed from the reservation.


What if I report an issue past the 24-hour timeframe from check-out?

Our Terms & Conditions are in place to ensure transparency and fairness. Unfortunately, we cannot override these terms, even in cases involving a claim for Bag Protection.
