What Are Work Centers in BRAINR

Work Centers are specific areas or stations within a production line where particular activities are performed.

They are essential for:

  • Registering activities

  • Tracking processes

  • Calculating times and resource usage


Before you start

  • Activities must be pre-created in the Back-Office

  • If the work center belongs to a new production line, it must be created first.

  • For bulk upload, use the back office.


Create a New Work Center

Access the Work Centers module

  • On the Homepage, open "Work Centers" module in the Equipment section.

  • View the existing Work Centers list.

Start Creating

  • Click "Work Center" (top-right corner) to open the creation page.

Fill General Data (Required Fields)

Complete these mandatory fields in the General Data section:

  • Code – Unique identifier

  • Name – Descriptive name

  • Production Line – Select existing line

  • Availability – Available hours

  • Setup – Setup/preparation time

  • Cleaning – Cleaning time

  • Unit – Measurement unit

  • Number of People – Number of operators

  • External Code – External system reference

Optional fields: Add as needed for additional details.

Add Activities (Optional)

  1. Scroll to the Activities section.

  2. Click Add Activity to open the Add Activity modal.

  3. In the modal, fill in these mandatory fields:

    • Operation – Select the operation/activity.

    • Code – Enter the activity code.

    • Name – Enter the activity name.

    • Unit – Select the measurement unit.

  4. Click Save to add the activity to the Work Center, or Cancel to close the modal.

Save or Cancel

  • Click Save to create the Work Center.

  • Click Cancel to discard changes.
