Before you start

  • A route can have a single work center or multiple. In routings with multiple work centers, mark only one work center as Default for confirming activities and recording product inputs and outputs.

  • Work Centers and Activity Types must be created beforehand.

  • For bulk loading, use the back office.

What is a Production Routing?

A Production Routing defines the step‑by‑step manufacturing process across work centers, including the activities (resource quantities) required at each step. In BRAINR, it typically includes:

  • Work Centers: Locations responsible for executing stages of the process.

  • Activities: Quantities assigned to each work center (costing is handled in the ERP; BRAINR focuses on operational management).

  • Quality Controls: Checks or tests that must be performed at specific moments in the route.
