Important Notes

  • Products, Technical Production Lists, and Routes must be created beforehand.

  • Each product must have one Production Version marked as Default for MPS planning calculations.

  • For bulk upload, use the back office.


What is a Production Version?

A Production Version is the structured combination of:

  • A Product

  • A Technical Production List (BOM)

  • A Production Route

It defines how a product will be manufactured by specifying the required materials (from the BOM) and the workflow to follow (based on the route). In BRAINR, Production Versions are essential for executing production orders and for MPS planning calculations.


Where to create a Production Version

  1. On the Homepage, open the Production Versions module in the Materials section.

  2. The list displays the center’s Production Versions.


Create a new Production Version

  1. Click + Create Production Version in the top‑right corner.

  2. In the modal, fill in the required fields:

  • Code

  • Name

  • Product

  • Technical Production List

  • Routing

  • Type

Status Toggles:

  • Active/Inactive – Enable/disable version

  • Default – Mark as primary for MPS planning (one per product)

  1. Click Save to create the Production Version or to discard, click Cancel.
