How to Manage Production Versions in BRAINR This guide explains how to view, edit, deactivate, and remove Production Versions in BRAINR.

Manage Production Versions in BRAINR by viewing details, editing links, and deactivating/removing versions when needed.• Review versions in the list and open Edit to update fields (Product, BOM, Routing, validity, etc.). • Set one version as Default per product for MPS planning. • Use Active/Inactive to deactivate a version or remove it from the list if needed.

Important Notes

  • Products, Technical Production Lists (BOM), and Routes must be created beforehand.

  • For MPS planning calculations, each product must have one Production Version marked as Default.


Where to manage Production Versions

  1. On the Homepage, open the Production Versions module in the Materials section.

  2. The list displays all Production Versions. You can review key information directly in the list without opening the details page.


Edit, deactivate, or remove a Production Version

  1. In the list, click the three‑dot menu next to the Production Version you want to update.

In Edit mode, update these fields:

Editable Fields:

  • Code

  • Name

  • Abbreviation

  • Product

  • Technical Production List

  • Routing

  • Type

  • Group

  • Valid From

Status Toggles:

  • Active/Inactive – Enable/disable version

  • Default – Mark as primary for MPS planning (one per product)
