What is a tare?
A tare is the weight of a reusable container, packaging, or receptacle used in logistics operations such as receiving, shipping, or production. Some examples include plastic boxes, pallets, and trays.
Why configure tare weights by Partner in BRAINR?
Configuring tares enables accurate net weight calculations by automatically deducting the container’s weight from operations, and offers logistics customization, allowing you to associate specific tares with each partner, with detailed settings by address, profile, group, or document type.
Important Notes:
This configuration is important for assigning and classifying tares in material receipts and shipments for a specific partner. You can define tares at the address and document level or configure generic containers for the partner.
