Manage materials in BRAINR by viewing records, editing settings, and deactivating materials when needed.• Open a material via Details to review General Data, Production, Validity, Units, Warehouse, and other info. • Use Edit to update fields (including tolerances and tare weights, if managed in BRAINR). • Deactivate a material to prevent future use without deleting it.
Important Notes
Depending on the organizational configuration, this Master Data is managed in the ERP and synchronized with BRAINR through integration. Changes in BRAINR may be temporary until the next synchronization.
In BRAINR, tolerances (minimum weight, maximum weight, maximum percentage allowed) and specific tare weights for the product are usually configured.
To upload tare weights in bulk, use the back office.
Materials Query
On the Homepage, access the "Materials" module in the Materials section.
The module lists all materials configured for the center. In the row of the desired material, you can use the 3 dots and select Details to view all information.
General Data: Name, code, group, type, status, batch (you can activate the option for the operator to generate batches automatically during material reception), among others.
Production: Routes, versions, and technical lists.
Validity: Information regarding the product's validity.
Units: base units of measurement for the material, as well as
Warehouse: Logistics and inventory information.
Other Details: Organization, EANs, partners, languages, composition, attributes, calibers, production lines, files, and comments.
Editing and Deactivating a Material
In edit mode, you can adjust all information. Please note that if materials are managed in ERP, other changes made in BRAINR may be temporary. As a rule, the fields managed in BRAINR are:
Units: Change tolerances, such as minimum weight, maximum weight, and maximum percentage allowed.
Partners: Add, edit, or remove tare weights configured for the material. Tare weights can be associated with internal partners (center), customers, or suppliers, with additional options for profile, group, or document type. Through partners, in the materials tab, it is also possible to manage associated tare weights.
If the material is no longer in use, it can be deactivated in the upper right corner. This does not remove the material, but prevents its use in future operations.
Click Save to apply the changes or Cancel to discard them.
