Using Brand Tags

Learn about brand tags, why they are valuable, and how to add/delete them.

Updated over a week ago

Tags are used for identifying brands by keyword. This makes it easy to filter and locate any brands that have the same keyword.

For example, you may tag some brands as ‘snow sports’. Then when it’s time to order for the Fall, you can filter brands by ‘snow sports’ and view just those brands with that tag.

Some tag recommendations are Apparel, Footwear, Snow sports, Camping, Hiking, Watersports, Beach,... you get the idea. Use tags that make it easy for you to view specific brands based on whatever criteria you’d like.

To add a tag to a brand card, click on the pencil icon to edit the brand card. At the bottom of the Edit Brand Card screen you’ll see the Tags field. Go ahead and type in whatever you want as a tag. If you have previously added tags to a different brand card, you’ll see a list of all tags previously created. The tag will be applied to the brand card once you click Save.

Tag tips:

  • Tags can be short or long, contain many words or one, but best practice is to keep a tag concise.

  • Spelling and capitalization matter. For instance, “Snowsports”, “snowsports”, “Snow Sports”, and “Snow sports” will be identified as different tags.

To remove or delete a tag from a brand card, click on the pencil icon to edit the brand card. At the bottom of the Edit Brand Card screen you’ll see the Tags field. Click on the ‘x’ next to the tag you would like to delete from your brand card. Then click Save for your changes to take effect.

See the Filtering Brand Cards article for information on how to identify brands using tags.
