Version 6.9 introduces several new features your users will see right away, along with automatic improvements and bug fixes. Below is a quick rundown of everything that shipped, including where to find each setting in the portal so you can configure it for your app.
New features you can configure in the portal
Free vs. Locked Content Badges
Surface monetization status directly on content — free badges on free items, lock icons on subscriber-only items.
Portal path: Setup & Customization > General > Monetization / Content Display
Browse Without Subscribe (Offline Preview)
Lets new users explore your app and browse content before signing in or subscribing.
Portal path: Setup & Customization > General > Offline Preview
User-Created Collections (My Collection)
Your users can now create their own collections in My Library — saving and grouping content the way they want.
Portal path: Setup & Customization > General > My Collection
Free Collection Control
More granular control over Collections at the Library level.
Portal path: Content > Library > Collection (any existing or new collection can be edited and toggled to Free. If specific classes within the collection are not set to free on their own, they will still be accessible to unpaid users within any free collection.
Advanced Courses (Chapters)
Structure course content into chapters for deeper, more organized learning journeys.
Portal path: Content > Library > Advanced Courses
Note: these can be set to sequential (example: day 1 unlocked, day 2 unlocks once day 1 is complete) or non-sequential (example: if you want to structure it differently than by day, or have users be able to complete different sections on their own time).
Audio Playlists
Curate audio-only playlists for your users.
Portal path: Library > Content > Playlist
Recommended Content Widget
A personalized home-screen widget that surfaces content based on the tags attached to each user's onboarding answers.
Portal path: Setup & Customization > Widget Manager > Home Screen
⚠️ Setup note: Both search tags, and onboarding questions must be configured first. Without questions and tagged answers, the widget has nothing to personalize against.

Optional Unified Library Icon
Combines Favorites, Downloads, and My Library into a single library icon for a cleaner home screen.
Portal path: Setup & Customization > Widget Manager > Home Screen
⚠️ Setup note: if you'd prefer the legacy layout (buttons on top of the page), simply enable that option under Setup & Customization > Home Screen
Live Class Recording
When scheduling an in-app live session, you can now toggle recording on so the session is saved for later viewing.
Where to find it: Toggle appears when scheduling an in-app live session.
Automatic improvements (no setup needed)
These ship automatically — no portal configuration required.
Streak Saver Push Notifications — Users automatically receive an 18-hour reminder if they're about to lose their streak.
Picture-in-Picture & Background Play — Videos float and audio keeps playing when the app is minimized.
Resume Playback — The app remembers where each user left off and resumes from that point.
Community Video Thumbnails — Real video previews now display instead of placeholders.
Content Comment Reply Box — Reply box now expands into a bottom sheet to match the community UX.
Smart Search AI — Upgraded to a more personalized prompt for better search results.
App Error Alerts System — Internal logging improvement for faster bug fixes (no user-facing change).
Bug fixes
Release dates — Recipes and all content now strictly honor future release dates.
Collection ordering — Custom content widgets now display media in the exact order set in the portal.
Habit Tracker — Resolved issues with completion dates and future-dated items.
