The Learn Dashboard
When you click ‘Learn’ in the left-hand menu, you land on a dashboard that gives you an immediate overview of all your training.
At the top of the page, you’ll see your four key metrics:
Assignments: The total number of courses you (HR/Admin) have assigned to people in the last 12 months.
Self-Assignments: This is all about people taking ownership. This number tracks the courses employees have chosen to enrol in themselves from the Explore Catalogue.
Completions: A clear count of all courses your team has finished successfully.
Overdue completions: A critical figure that flags any assigned courses that have passed their deadline. Use this to quickly spot any training gaps and follow up
Mastering Your Course Library
The Course Library is your central hub for training, holding over 100 courses. This is where you, as an HR or Admin user, manage what training is available for your team.
Find and Filter Courses
Your whole course library shows up right from the main Learn dashboard.
Use the ‘Title Filter' search bar to quickly find a course after pressing the filter button
The ‘Category’ dropdown lets you narrow the list by simple groups (like Compliance or Professional Skills).
The ‘Status’ filter allows you to view only Active or Inactive courses.
Course status
Active: If a course is Active, it’s ready for you to assign and, if you allow it, for employees to self-enrol.
Inactive: If a course is no longer useful, marking it Inactive removes it from your assignment list and the employee’s Explore Catalogue.
To configure a change to the course status, press the configure icon under the action header in your course list...
Configure Course Settings
The ‘Configure’ icon is where you control how each course works in your Breathe account:
Course actions
Active: Use this to switch a course on or off (inactive) for an assignment.
Available in the Explore Catalogue
Enabled: If it’s on, employees can find and enrol in this course via their ‘My Learning’ section.
Disabled: If it’s off, only you (HR/Admin) can assign this course directly.
Generate Certificate: Decide if a downloadable certificate should be created automatically for successful completions.
When you change your course configuration, press the blue Update course button to confirm the changes.
Fast & Flexible Course Assignment
We've made assigning training much more efficient, moving past the one-by-one method.
How to Assign Courses in Bulk
Step 1: From the Course Library list, find the courses you would like to assign to your people and tick the box next to the course title.
Step 2: Tick the ‘Bulk Assign’ button on the top right of the course library next to the filter button.
Step 3: A side window will appear with bulk assignment options...
Step 3: Audience settings
Assign to Everyone: Select this for mandatory, widespread training.
Assign to Selected People: You have the option to assign by Department, Division or individually.
Step 4: Set a ‘Completion Required By’ date.
Step 5: Click the ‘Bulk Assign’ button to confirm.
This new way lets you rapidly deploy training to the whole business or specific teams in just a few clicks.
Course Details: Tracking & Audit Trails
Clicking on a course title takes you to its dedicated detail page...
This page provides full details on the course, including its category, duration, status, and availability in the Explore catalogue, as well as whether the certificate is enabled.
All assigned users are listed, and you have the option to filter the assigned users, send a reminder email to the assigned users to complete the course, download the list of assigned users, and assign new users to the course.
Assigned Users: Tracking & Progress
The Assigned users section gives you a granular view of who is taking the courses.
Assignment Source: Clearly shows if the course was ‘Assigned by HR/Admin’ or ‘Self-Assigned’ by the employee.
Status Indicators: See progress in real-time: Not Started, In Progress, Completed, Overdue, or Withdrawn
Activity Log: Click on the assigned user's name to view a full ‘Activity Log’ with timestamps for when the course was assigned, launched, and completed. This can be downloaded to Excel for full auditing purposes by pressing the download button.
You also have the ability to download a full list of assigned users for each course to Excel, and assign new users to the course by clicking the options on each course's details page...
Notifications, Sending Reminders & Managing Assignments
When you assign your people to a course, they will be sent an email letting them know that they have a new course to complete.
The course will also appear as a pane in their My Learning page, displayed as not started...
Individual Reminders: From the assigned users section, select the message icon under the action header next to the employee's name...
Bulk Reminders (New): For courses with multiple people behind deadline, you can send reminders to everyone who needs it at once. Click the Reminder button on the course details page, at the top of the assigned users list...

Tick the box and press the red 'Withdraw from course' button...

The Employee Experience: My Learning
Your people are your greatest strength. That's why we’ve added a dedicated ‘My Learning’ section to the left-hand navigation, putting them in control of their development.

This is the employee's central view for managing their training.
Courses are organised by status: Not Started, In Progress or Overdue.
Please note that completed courses are displayed in the Learning record tab
They can launch any course simply by clicking the title...
If a course awards a certificate, they can download it directly from here by clicking the blue download certificate button at the bottom of the page...

Please note that if a course has previously been completed and produced a certificate and you re-assign the same course for completion and a second certificate is produced, only the latest certificate will be available to download.
Explore Catalogue: Employee Self-Assignment
This is a great feature for encouraging proactive development.
Employees click a category from the ‘Categories to explore’ list in their My Learning section.
It displays all courses you’ve made ‘Available in the Explore Catalogue’.
They can self-enrol or launch a Course to begin by clicking on the category and selecting the course from the list...
Please note: Employees can withdraw from courses they self-assigned, but cannot withdraw from courses you assigned directly to them

Selected courses include a text file and an audio resource to enhance accessibility and learning flexibility. When these materials are available, they will be found in the blue navigation bar at the bottom of the course player.
To access them, look for the Resource Library, indicated by the book icon. Click the icon to access your downloadable course materials, which include:
Text file resources (Transcript) — Note: You may need to right-click the link and select "Open in new tab" or "Open in new window" to view the file.

Playlists
Managing employee training should be a seamless part of your workflow, not a logistical challenge. We are excited to introduce Playlists, a powerful enhancement to your Breathe Learn module designed to help you curate intentional, structured training paths for your team.
Rather than assigning individual, disconnected courses, you can now group related topics into cohesive "learning journeys" that provide clear roadmaps for success.
How to Create Your First Playlist
You can build a playlist by selecting courses first or by starting with a blank template.
Method A: Starting from the Course Library
STEP 1. Navigate to your Course Library tab.
STEP 2. Select the courses you wish to include by ticking the boxes next to each title.
STEP 3. Click the Create Playlist button at the top of the list.
Method B: Starting from the Create Menu option
STEP 1. Go directly to the Playlist Library and select Create.
STEP 2. Use the 'Add a course' field in the Selected courses area to search for and add courses by name.
If you change your mind, use the dustbin icon next to any course to remove it from the list.
You can reorder the playlist by dragging and dropping the courses using the 3 lines on the left-hand side.
Once your courses are selected, you can tailor the playlist to suit your employees' needs.
STEP 1. Basic Information: Provide a clear title and a helpful description so learners understand the goal of the journey
STEP 2. Categorisation: Select a category from the dropdown menu (e.g., Personal Development or Customer Service) to keep your library organised
STEP 3. Configuration: Use the toggles to set your preferences:
Active: Set to "on" to make the playlist ready for assignment.
Available in the Explore Catalogue: Allow employees to find and self-assign this path.
Generate a certificate: Automatically issue a bespoke playlist certificate once the entire journey is finished.
Must be completed sequentially: Tick this to ensure learners finish courses in the specific order you've set.
Managing Your Playlist Library
Your new learning journeys are housed in the Playlist Library tab, which offers several management tools.
Finding Content: Use the filter button locate playlists by title, category or status.
Assigning Users: Select a playlist to bulk-assign it to your people in seconds, or assign users individually.
The Playlist page: Click the playlist name to open up the unique playlist page.
Reviewing History: Press the Versions button on the playlist page to see an in-depth history of changes made to that playlist, which is vital for auditing.
Editing Settings: Use the Configure button to update descriptions or toggles.
Please note that you cannot add or reorder courses while users are currently assigned to that playlist.
The Employee Perspective
For your team, the experience remains clear and user-friendly.
Employees navigate to My Learning, where they will see a dedicated Assigned Playlists section.
Clicking a playlist tile reveals their personalised roadmap.
If sequential order is enabled, the system will lock future courses until the previous ones are completed.
Throughout the journey, employees can track their progress, view due dates, and monitor their status at any time.

How does the assessment scoring work?
In Breathe Learn quizzes, the tick (✔️) and X (❌) indicators serve as visual feedback to help learners evaluate their responses. These indicators are designed to indicate whether each chosen option in a quiz is correct or incorrect, providing valuable insight during the quiz and in the review phase that follows.
Tick (✔️) Indicator:
A tick appears when the learner selects all correct options for a question and avoids selecting any incorrect options.
This indicates that the response for that specific question is completely accurate.
X (❌) Indicator:
An X appears if the learner selects one or more incorrect options or fails to select all required correct options.
This indicates an error in the response, either through incorrect selection or omission.
As an example, this screenshot shows this question answered incorrectly...
