This guide is for Admin and HR users
The The Employee NPS feature is available to customers on Regular plans and above.
Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is a built-in metric used to assess workforce loyalty and track workplace sentiment over time. Built on a single, standardised 0–10 recommendation question, eNPS allows HR teams to continuously gauge employee engagement.
💡 Note: eNPS is integrated into the central Polls & Surveys tool. For a comprehensive guide covering custom multi-question surveys, templates, and general poll settings, please visit our main Polls & Surveys Master Guide.
With the Employee NPS feature, you can run useful pulse checks to measure employee happiness to help your people feel listened to & tackle turnover.
With a simple one-question survey that’s totally anonymous, your people can rate how likely they are to recommend you as a place to work.
Where to find eNPS
This feature is available on the Regular plan and above.
To launch or manage an eNPS check-in, navigate to My company on the left-hand menu and select Polls & surveys.
Transition Note: The old standalone Company > eNPS section has been retired. All creation, tracking, and historical eNPS data now live centrally under Polls & surveys.
Creating an eNPS check-in
Click the blue Create new button in the top right-hand corner and select eNPS from the drop-down menu.
Title & Description: Enter a title and description to differentiate this check-in from other eNPS surveys throughout the year.
Question Text & Scale: The standard question automatically pre-populates with your company name (e.g. "On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend [Company Name] as a place to work?"). You can edit the question text, add optional help text, set scale labels, and toggle Allow additional comment.
Note: The 0–10 rating scale is fixed to maintain net promoter standards and cannot be changed.
Dates & Audience: Set your start and end dates. You can toggle Hide responses until closed if you prefer not to see results until the window ends.
Note: eNPS check-ins are automatically sent to all active employees.
Sender Selection: Select a sender from your HR users list (e.g. "Many thanks, Amy"). If you select No sender, the email notification will be sent directly as a general system notification.
Publish or Schedule: Review your details on the final screen and click Publish (or Schedule if you selected a future start date).
How employees complete an eNPS check-in
When you are sent a poll or survey, you'll get an email notification containing a direct link to your check-in.
Alternatively, you can access your assigned check-ins by clicking the View polls & surveys button on your main dashboard tile, or by navigating to PROFILE > My Polls & Surveys on the left-hand menu.
Click directly on the eNPS tile on the dashboard.
Select a rating score from 0 to 10.
Add any optional feedback in the text box (if enabled).
Click Submit in the top right-hand corner. A final pop-up will confirm the anonymity status—click Submit again to finalise your entry.
Saving a Draft: If an employee is not ready to submit, they can click Save Draft in the top right-hand corner to complete it later.
Viewing eNPS results & reporting
Click into any active or closed eNPS check-in from your main dashboard to access four dedicated reporting tabs:
Configuration: Review your original question setup, launch dates, sender settings, and schedule window.
Responses: Displays your live participation stats (Sent to, Completed, Response rate, and Time remaining) alongside dedicated eNPS metrics:
NPS Score Gauge: Displays your overall calculated net promoter score at a glance.
Summary Breakdown: Shows real-time counts and percentages for Promoters (9–10), Passives (7–8), and Detractors (0–6), as well as your Mean Score.
Score Distribution & Comments: A visual chart mapping score frequencies from 0–10, followed by any additional feedback left by respondents.
Downloading Chart Images: Export visual image files (PNG) of your eNPS data for presentation decks or board reports by clicking the Download button located directly inside the NPS Score gauge card or the Summary breakdown card.
Individual Responses: Review individual entries one by one, while preserving employee privacy according to your anonymity settings.
Comparison (eNPS Exclusive): Compare your current score against previous eNPS check-ins to track sentiment trends over time:
Current Score Tile: Displays the score from your most recently closed eNPS check-in (live/active check-ins are excluded so fluctuating scores don't skew your baseline).
Historic Data Titles: For historical eNPS surveys migrated from the old system, the title in the table will default to eNPS (as titles were not previously supported). All check-ins created going forward will display your custom title.
Filtering & Exporting eNPS Data
Filtering: On the Comparison tab, filter data by Status, Start date, and End date. On the Responses tab, filtering by department, division, or location is available if anonymity was set to partial or toggled off.
Reminders & CSV Downloads: Click Send reminder to nudge pending participants, or click Download at any time to export a CSV file of response data. All exported files dynamically enforce your account anonymity settings.
