This guide will help you create and assign nutrition programs to your members. With nutrition programs, you can:

  • Provide meal plans and guidance

  • Set custom calorie and macronutrient targets

  • View members' meal logs, comments, and photos

You can build programs from scratch, attach your existing resources, and quickly set individualized targets using the Nutrition Engine.

Getting Started

You can begin creating a nutrition program from two places:

  • Nutrition Module (Home Page): Best for building general programs, working with multiple athletes, or starting from scratch.

  • Athlete Profile: Best when an athlete’s data (height, weight, age) is already loaded, as this information will auto-populate in the Nutrition Engine and calorie calculator.

Once there, select Create a New Program.

Building a Program

When creating a program, you’ll choose between two options:

Nutrition Engine (Quick Start):

  • Use the Calorie Calculator and our macro split templates to auto-generate targets.

  • Great for faster setup for individual members.

Build From Scratch:

  • Set custom calories and macronutrient splits.

  • Best if you already have specific macro splits in mind.

Both options simply give you different ways to define macros—use whichever fits your workflow.

Customizing the Program

1 - Add a Program Description

Provide an overview for the member. This can include:

  • The overall goals of the program

  • Attachments (e.g., full PDF nutrition plans)

2 - Create Your Days

Set different targets for different types of days. Instead of programming every single day, we recommend themed day types:

  • Training Days

  • Recovery Days

  • Competition Day

Programs can include up to 20 days.

3 - Upload Resources

Add supporting materials such as:

  • Descriptions and notes

  • PDFs or recipe books

  • Voice memos or additional guidance

Here's an example of what a fully built day:

Assigning to Members

When your program is ready, click Assigned Members to share it with your members.

Members can then:

  • Log their meals as macros directly into the Bridge app (article here).

  • Or sync meals tracked using Cronometer (article here).

This ensures they can easily track progress and stay aligned with the program you’ve designed.
