Reverse mistakes in your program in one click, and bring changes back if you change your mind.
Deleted the wrong exercise? Moved a block to the wrong day? Undo reverses your most recent changes in the Builder, one step at a time, and Redo puts them back.
This feature works in both Week View and Load Progression View, from the buttons in the Builder header or with the keyboard shortcuts you already use in spreadsheets.
Early access: Undo/Redo is being rolled out organization by organization. If you don’t see the Undo and Redo buttons in your Builder, reach out to support@bridgeathletic.com to request access.
Where to find Undo and Redo
Open any program and click into a phase to enter the Builder. You’ll see two arrow buttons at the start of the actions on the right side of the header, before Add day:
Undo (curved arrow pointing left): reverses your most recent change
Redo (curved arrow pointing right): re-applies the change you just undid
The button is greyed out when there’s nothing to undo or redo, or while the Builder is still saving.
How to undo a change
Make a change in the Builder (e.g., delete an exercise, move a block or update reps on a set).
Click Undo, or press Cmd+Z (Mac) / Ctrl+Z (Windows).
The button shows a brief loading spinner, and your program refreshes with the change reversed. A deleted exercise comes back with its sets, parameters and alternatives intact.
Keep clicking Undo to step back through earlier changes, newest first.
How to redo a change
After undoing, click Redo, or press Cmd+Shift+Z (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+Z (Windows).
The change you just undid is re-applied.
If you undo something and then make a new edit, your Redo list is cleared. This is the same way Excel and Google Docs work.
See what you’re about to undo
Hover over Undo or Redo to see a numbered list of your recent changes (e.g., “1. Delete exercise”, “2. Move block”, “3. Update set”). The item highlighted in blue at the top is what your next click will undo or redo.
The number in the list title (e.g., Up to 40) is how many steps you can go back. Once you pass that limit, your oldest changes drop off the list.
What you can undo
Almost any change you make in the Builder, including:
Weeks and days: add, clone, move, delete or switch workouts, plus workout name, note and duration
Blocks: add, clone, move, delete, switch, copy to other workouts, toggle circuit/superset, block progressions, media and block colors
Exercises: add, clone, move, delete, switch (at any scope, from a single instance to the whole program), replace prescription, notes and linked tests
Sets: add, clone, move or delete sets, add rest, “Apply to all” and any parameter edit (e.g., reps, load, %1RME, time)
Alternatives: add, switch or delete alternative exercises and their sets
Phase: rename the phase, edit the phase description and apply units
Things to know
Your history moves with you inside a phase. You can switch weeks, move between days or toggle between Week View and Load Progression View and still undo earlier changes.
History resets when you open a different phase, leave the Builder (e.g., go back to your Library) or refresh the page.
No undo/redo for template blocks and template workouts. Only template phases and programs support undo/redo.
Every undo saves right away. There’s no extra save step. If the program was already delivered, Deliver To Athletes becomes available again, so deliver to push the corrected version to your athletes. Undo doesn’t recall a delivery on its own.
Typing in a text box such as names and notes, Cmd/Ctrl+Z undoes your typing like any text field. Inside the exercise popup and on set rows, it undoes your last Builder change instead.
Redo has no Ctrl+Y shortcut. Use Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z.
Some actions can’t be undone:
Saving a block, workout or alternative as a template
Copying a week or phase to another program
Delivering or assigning a program
Creating a custom exercise (undo removes it from your program, but it stays in your Library)
Creating a linked test (undo removes the link, but the test itself is kept)
Bridge tip: Before undoing several steps in a row, hover over Undo to check the list. It shows exactly how far back you need to go.
