Leveraging Template Workout Days

Template workout days can drastically decrease the time you spend crafting training plans. Learn how best to leverage the various EXOS template workout days or ones that you have created. 

Saving Template Workouts: 

To save a workout you have built out as a template follow these steps: 

1. Open your program in the builder 

2. Hover over the workout day. Click on the three dots on the right of the workout day. Select "Save as Template" on the dropdown menu. 

3. Create a name for your template workout

4. Click save. This template workout is now saved and will show in the "My templates" folder when adding template workouts in the builder or when viewing the workout tab in the library. 

Leveraging Template Workouts 

Here are the steps of adding a template workout into your training week.

  1. Open the phase of your program and navigate to the week you would like to add a template workout in. 

2. Click on "Add Day" on the far right of the screen

3. On the drop down menu select "Template Workout"

4. A Workout Search module will load to the page. You can search using the search bar or scroll through "My Templates" to find a workout to insert. An overview of the workout will be displayed to provide some information on the template.

5. You can preview the workout by clicking the blue "preview" button. This will open a whole preview of the workout day for you to review before adding it to your program. You can click insert from the preview or return back to the search module 

6. When you have found the workout you would like to add. Click "insert" and it will be added at the last day of the week. You can then drag and drop the workout day to re-order.
