When programming using our %-based weight parameters, either a single value or a range can be used. With these weight parameters, athletes are shown an absolute weight once data is added to the system. For example, an exercise programmed with % 1RME will show an absolute weight to an athlete only if a 1RME is entered for this athlete and this exercise. For %difficulty, an absolute weight will be calculated once the athlete has completed the exercise at least once in a workout.

When using ranges, absolute weights can still be calculated. We list out some scenarios below to outline when absolute weights will be calculated and when just a percentage will be displayed.

We are looking specifically at ranges for reps and % weight in this article.

One great tip to understand what your athlete will see when programming is to select "Estimate Weight" at the top of the exercise pop-up.
