There are multiple ways to add users to your BridgeU account. Users can be uploaded via Managebac Integration, in bulk or on an individual basis.
Expand each section below to find your preferred way.

💡 Tip: Before you start the import, here are a couple of tips to bear in mind:
You can start the import process, navigate away and send invites at a later stage.
You can cancel your import at any time by clicking the Cancel import button. You can then start the import again.
Please follow the below step-by-step instructions to import new users via spreadsheet straight onto your school’s account.
Step 1: Go to School Settings (top-right dropdown) > Import Users via Spreadsheet > Import new users.
Step 2: Download the template that matches the user type you're importing.
You can choose to upload Students, Students and Parents, Parents, Advisors or Report Writers. You can use either .xlsx or .csv file format for the upload.
Next, fill out all required columns on the template with the relevant details.
If you have a large number of students with different advisors, it is recommended to create multiple templates per assigned advisor, upload each template and assign the relevant advisor to ALL students. The advisor profile must already exist on BridgeU before the upload process.
When importing new students, there are additional drop-down fields on the Import new users page for your review:
Select a graduating year for students in the file: This is a required field and a great option to use when all students have the same graduating year. If the students have different graduating years, this information will only be used for students with blank graduating year fields on the upload template.
Assign an Advisor for ALL students in your file (optional): This section is optional and can be left blank if assigning arrangements have not been confirmed yet or if the advisor’s account has not been created. If no advisor is assigned then students will be uploaded without an advisor but don’t worry, you can adjust this in the Students tab after the upload. Once you have filled out the relevant fields on the template and on the Import new users page, click Start Import.
Step 3: Drag and drop the file OR browse your device to upload the completed .xlsx or .csv file to this page.
Step 4: At this stage, you’ll review all users who are ready to be imported. Start by checking the import summary and reviewing all users listed under the Ready to import section.
If required, switch to the Act on users tab to review any flagged records. Some users may show issues such as invalid email addresses, duplicate emails that have already been imported, or missing required fields. You do not need to re-upload the file to fix these issues. Instead, you can directly edit the user details in the Act on tab and click Check and save for each updated user. Once all necessary changes are completed, click Continue to final step at the bottom left to proceed.
You can also continue without fixing the flagged users, but only users marked as Ready to import will be included in the import.
Step 5: This step to confirm everything looks right before registration emails go out.
Start by reviewing the import summary to confirm how many users are ready to import and check any flagged as not ready. Then preview the invitation email to see exactly what users will receive.
Finally, choose when to send invites:
Send invites now — emails go out immediately.
Schedule invite — pick a future date and time.
⚠️ Once scheduled, the send date cannot be changed or cancelled.
Step 6: You can return to any past upload at any time from the Previously imported records section.
For each upload, you'll see the date created, who created it, the file name, import status, and an option to View record. From here, you can continue a saved import, send pending invitation emails, or review past upload activity.
