Follow the steps below for a self-guided training to help you get started with your BridgeU advisor/counselor account and successfully onboard your students.
Step 1: Activate Your BridgeU Advisor Account
Activate your BridgeU Advisor Account using the welcome email sent to you. Once you've created your account, you can explore your BridgeU account.
Navigating the Dashboard
Use the left-hand navigation panel to access different sections of the platform:
Home – The Home page provides a high-level overview of student milestones and activities within the platform. It allows advisors to quickly monitor student progress and identify which activities have been completed.
Students – The Students page allows you to view and manage all students within your school account. From here, you can review student profiles and monitor their progress.
Universities – The Universities section allows advisors to view more information about the universities or colleges their students are interested in or have applied to directly from the Universities tab on the BridgeU dashboard.
Documents – The Documents page is used to manage and review documents related to student applications, such as transcripts and recommendation letters.
Analytics – The Analytics section provides insights into student data. Using the BridgeU analytics profile tool, advisors can analyse student profile entries and generate reports on students’ subject interests and destination preferences.
At the bottom of the navigation panel, you will find quick links to:
Help Center – Access guides, help articles, and support resources for using BridgeU.
Community – Connect with other BridgeU advisors, explore shared resources, and participate in discussions within the advisor community.
Be sure to login and explore our exclusive Advisor Community, which is accessible from the bottom left-hand corner of your dashboard. Here, you will be able to explore further resources to help implement BridgeU at your school. Most importantly, you’ll have access to a network of BridgeU counselors across the globe!
Click your name in the top-right corner of the screen to access:
Profile – View or edit your personal information and update your password.
School Settings – Manage school account settings, school details, staff accounts, and bulk uploads such as users and SAT scores.
Logout – Sign out of your account.
Step 2: Explore the Platform from a Student Perspective
Create a test student account from your new advisor account. from your advisor account to experience the platform as a student. This helps you better understand the student journey and how students interact with the different features available in BridgeU.
You will need to log out of your advisor account before logging into the test student account.
Step 3: Add Students to BridgeU
Be sure to add your students onto BridgeU. Once your school’s students are added to BridgeU, they will receive an email invitation prompting them to register their accounts and begin their onboarding journey on the platform.
